United Soccer of Auburn will be conducting evaluations of all players entering the U10, U12, and U14 travel leagues. This correlates, typically, with students entering grades 3 – 8.

The evaluations will take place at Pappas Field on June 5th – 7th. Due to the large number of players, we are holding evaluation sessions as follows:

June 5 (Wednesday):

5 – 6:30 p.m., all Boys entering or remaining in the U10 travel league. This would be for boys entering grades 3 or 4 in the fall.

6:30 – 8:00 p.m., all Boys entering or remaining in the U12 travel league. This would be for boys entering grades 5 or 6 in the fall.

 

June 6 (Thursday):

5 – 6:30 p.m., all U10 and U12 players (Girls and Boys) who are unable to attend their assigned Wednesday or Friday session. Boys and Girls will be at opposite ends of the field.

6:30 – 8:00 p.m., all Girls and Boys entering or remaining in the U14 travel league. Boys and Girls will be at opposite ends of the field. This would be for girls or boys entering grades 7 or 8 in the fall.

 

June 7 (Friday): [Note – the original date for this age group was Tuesday June 4]

5 – 6:30 p.m., all Girls entering or remaining in the U10 travel league. This would be for girls entering grades 3 or 4 in the fall.

6:30 – 8:00 p.m., all Girls entering or remaining in the U12 travel league. This would be for girls entering grades 5 or 6 in the fall.

 

When you come to the field, there will be a registration table near the shed. Players will be assigned a numbered bib, and players at random will be given a pinney to help sort them into random groups.

During the evaluations, players will essentially be scrimmaging. As the session continues, the coaches will stop and shuffle groups, but then the groups will continue to scrimmage.

Please emphasize to your child that these are individual evaluations and that players should look to showcase all facets of their skill, including dribbling, passing, offensive and defensive skills, communication with others, and effort.

These evaluations will provide information that is used during team rostering. If your child is playing on a team currently, your coach(es) will be providing additional information about your child’s skill set. All of this information is used by United Soccer of Auburn to help create teams for the Fall of 2019.

We ask that all players have their own ball, water, and are dressed to play (cleats, shin guards).

In addition, we will have a uniform sizing table available at these evaluations. You will be notified regarding the new, updated uniform information for the fall season from the Auburn soccer equipment manager, but if you’d like to check out size options for your order, we will have representatives available to help. This, again, will take place near the shed at Pappas.
