Amy Berg has been named the 2016 U10G Sportsmanship Award Recipient.

In a statement from Les Stevens, MAYS Sportsmanship Director, “Good sportsmanship is when teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials treat each other with respect. Kids learn the basics of sportsmanship from the adults in their lives, especially their parents and their coaches. Kids who see adults behaving in a sportsmanlike way come to understand that the real winners in sports are those who know how to persevere and to behave with dignity — whether they win or lose a game.”

Amy coaches with her husband, Erik Berg, and Nick Fortunato. The trio coach both a GU10 and a GU12 team. Their GU12 team also earned a MAYS playoff berth this season, their first season eligible for postseason play.

Congratulations to Amy, and really the entire coaching staff!
