USA Certified Coach Courses
(Level 4 - Level 1) Level 1 = Highest

Level 4 – No Prerequisite:
  • Attendance at Coordinators pre-season meeting  
Level 3 – Prerequisite: MYSA ‘G’ or higher License
  • Outline of : (3 hr training session)
    • Instructional coaches training (1 hr)
    • Methodology/ Development instruction specific to Skill Sessions / How to organize a practice (1 hrs)
    • Safety / Equipment (1 hr)

      (written Test option 90% or higher)
Level 2 – Prerequisite: Completion of USA Level 3 and MYSA ‘F’ or higher License
  • Outline of : (2 hr training session)
    • Instructional Game training / Team Tactics
    • Instructional Advanced Skills / Player Physiology
    • USA On Field Practicum

      (written Test option 90% or higher)
Level 1 - Prerequisite: Completion of USA Level 2 and MYSA ‘E’ or higher License
  • Outline of : (2 hr training session)
    • Instructional Game training/advanced game management (2 hrs)
    • Laws of the Game
    • USA On Field Advanced Practicum
All Coaches should attend the Athlete Pre-Season Clinics specific to their age group
Exceptions may be considered for substitution of requirements (ie: College Soccer Coach/Player :  Professional Coach/Player : License Coach) Exceptions must be approved by Age Group Coordinator or the Director of Development.
UDC Suggested License substitution for USA Level:
F" license/Level 4,   "E" license/Level 3,   "D" license/Level 2 or 3
PLEASE NOTE anyone working directly with athletes (even a parent helping out) needs to complete a Child Safe form which include's a CORI back ground check. Coaches must complete a Child Safe form before they can participate in any USA program.
